(Please read below for more info, including fitting instructions.)
-------
These are 3D printed display shelves, perfect for mounting your comics on a wall to make a display. You get two for each comic - one for the top and one for the bottom.
For details of how to put them up, please read further down.
The shelves come in packs suitable for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 comics (so you'll get 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12) and will include No More Nails removable strips to hang them. To keep things simple I'll do all shelves in one pack the same colour as standard, but if you'd rather have a mixture just send me a message when you've placed your order. If you want more than 6 just add 6 and then whatever extra number you want. (Two lots of 6 is cheaper than four lots of 3, for instance.)
The shelves are deep enough to hold a standard comic. They're not big enough for graphic novels, but nor are they intended to hold that much weight.
I have a listing for a set of shelves made specifically for CGCs, if you have a look in my shop in the Comics section.
-------
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
I'd suggest putting a piece of stiff card in the comic first, or putting it in a plastic wallet. This will help to keep it from slumping, especially if there might be a slight breeze coming from anywhere nearby.
Fit the bottom shelf first. Don't touch the back of the shelf, and ensure the wall is clean. If you can see fingerprints, dust or anything on the shelf or wall, clean with alcohol first. Remove the first backing strip and place the tab on the back of the shelf, ensuring it only attaches to the flat surface and doesn't overhang. Before removing the second backing strip, press down onto a flat surface for 5-10 seconds to ensure its really stuck. Remove the second backing strip and press firmly onto your smooth, painted wall for 10 seconds, pressing with both hands on the back surface of the shelf only. Leave it a couple of hours before putting anything on it and check that it is stuck firmly and flat, and hasn't come away at the edges or corners. Place a comic on the bottom shelf and then repeat the process with a shelf inverted at the top, ensuring the front hook is just in front of the top of the comic. This one won't be taking any weight, but stops your comic from falling forward. However, please be careful putting them near doors or anything else where a draft or gust might dislodge the comic.
Please note: I'm including the removable strips free of charge, but I can't take responsibility for how you put them up. I've tested them, and I've had lots of happy customers, but if you don't put them up properly or the surface you're sticking them to isn't appropriate, they will fall down risking damage. They need to be stuck to a well-painted, smooth (non-textured, painted, not wall-papered), clean wall.
-------
Any questions or issues please get in touch. I can do custom orders and I can offer discounts for large batches.
Thanks
Rob
